Color-focused Still Life
Studio paintings and silly rubber duckies.
Painting at Home
Starting in 2020, moved inside and started painting my houseplants, the interior of the house, and the various bits of debris that piled up around us.
Painting the Studio
Mostly done at the Art Students League, instead of painting a planned class subject, I take a step back and paint the surroundings.
Cow Skull Iterations
One nice thing about studying with the same teacher for years: you can do the same exercise over and over and end up with new variations. The first cow skull painting I ever did is still hanging in my dining room. My husband finds it amusing that, apparently, the cow is screaming at us. The second one looks rough, dark and cold. In the third iteration, I think the skull looks almost friendly.
